Hello from Palo Alto, California, the home of Stanford University. Dr. Anton Titov, MD. Today we are with Dr. Sam Shen, MD, MBA. He is Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery and Emergency Medicine. He was a Medical Director of Stanford University Emergency Medicine department from 2014 to 2017. Dr. Sam Shen, MD, MBA, is Associate Chief Quality Officer/Patient Safety Officer, Stanford Health Care (2019 - Present), Vice Chair, Clinical Operations & Quality, Stanford University School of Medicine (2017 - Present), Fellowship Director, EM Administration Fellowship (2015 - Present).
Dr. Sam Shen, MD, MBA, received undergraduate degree in biology from Stanford University and his MD from University of California at Los Angeles. He also received MBA from Anderson School of Management, also at University of California at Los Angeles. Dr. Shen did his residency in Emergency Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, a major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. Dr. Shen's clinical and research interests are in the management of emergency medicine departments, healthcare management and clinical emergency medicine.
