Dr. Anton Titov, MD. Hello from Houston, Texas! Today we are with Dr. Arthur L. Day, MD. He is Professor and Vice Chairman, Department of Neurosurgery. Dr. Day is Director of residency program at University of Texas Medical School in Houston. He is also Director of clinical education at the Mischer Neuroscience Institute. Dr. Arthur L. Day, MD. is one of the most prominent cerebrovascular neurosurgeons in the United States. In 2011 Dr. Day was appointed President of the Society of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. Arthur L. Day, MD. also has been named multiple times to the Best Doctors in America. Dr. Arthur L. Day, MD. received his MD at Louisiana State University in New Orleans. He completed neurosurgery residency at the University of Florida. Dr. Day was on faculty at University of Florida for 25 years. and then Dr. Arthur L. Day, MD. was Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. He was Chairman at the Department of Neurosurgery at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and Children's Hospitals in Boston. In 2010 Dr. Arthur L. Day, MD. moved to Houston to assume his current position. Clinical and research interests of Dr. Arthur L. Day, MD. are in cerebrovascular neurosurgery. He is an expert in the treatment of brain aneurysms and brain arteriovenous malformations. Dr. Arthur L. Day, MD. does microsurgical treatment of all types of brain tumors and minimally invasive spine surgery. Dr. Day also has a particular interest in neurological injury in sports. Dr. Arthur L. Day, MD published over 170 journal articles and book chapters and co-edited a book about neurological injuries in sport ("Neurological Sports Medicine: A Guide for Physicians and Athletic Trainers" and "Handbook of Neurological Sports Medicine: Concussion and Other Nervous System Injuries in the Athlete").
