Dr. Matthias Steinwachs is a specialist in minimally invasive orthopedic surgery of the knee. He is a Head Physician in SportClinic Zurich and in Hirslanden Clinic, also in Zurich.
Dr. Matthias Steinwachs obtained his MD and PhD from the Universities of Heidelberg and Göttingen in Germany. He then trained in orthopedics at the University Hospital Freiburg in Germany.
Professor Steinwachs also conducted research in cell cultivation and cartilage tissue engineering at the University Hospital Freiburg.
Dr. Matthias Steinwachs was a Senior Physician at the Department of Orthopaedics, and Medical Director of the Section for Cartilage Transplantation, both at the University Hospital Freiburg, Germany.
