Hello from New York! Dr. David S. Jones, MD. We are with Dr. David S. Jones, who is Ackerman Professor of the Culture of Medicine at Harvard University. A renowned author and speaker on the key issues at the intersection of medicine and society. Dr. David S. Jones, MD. We are going to talk about COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic today. But first, a brief biographical note on Professor Jones. Dr. David S. Jones majored at Harvard College in History and Science. Obtained a PhD in History of Science from Harvard University and an MD from Harvard Medical School. Dr. David S. Jones did internship in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Boston and Boston Medical Center. He then did a residency in psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital and McLean Hospital. He worked as a staff psychiatrist in the Psychiatric Emergency Service at Cambridge Hospital. Professor David Jones was on the faculty at MIT as a professor of the history and culture of science and technology. He directed the Center for the Study of Diversity in Science, Technology. Medicine at MIT. Organized a successful series of conferences about race, science. Technology. Dr. Jones then joined Harvard as A. Bernard Ackerman Professor of the Culture of Medicine. Professor David S. Jones has authored and co-authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications in international medical journals.
